Resident Evil Requiem Guide: Surviving All 11 Leon Must Die Forever Challenges

The newest roguelite gauntlet in Resident Evil Requiem is designed to break you, but I have mapped out exactly how to exploit its challenges for maximum Completionist Points.

A Resident Evil Requiem gameplay graphic featuring bold, dripping red text reading "LEON MUST DIE" with white "FOREVER" text on a solid black background.

The Special Contents shop demands Completionist Points to unlock the best weapons and infinite ammo modifiers. Earning them in Leon Must Die Forever requires serious patience and a high tolerance for pain. You will face 11 unique challenges that demand perfect map routing and resource management. This mode strips away everything you rely on in the main story and forces you to adapt on the fly. Before you ruin your weekend dying repeatedly with no plan, I am going to walk you through the optimal ways to clear the board. If you are trying to rush through the main campaign to unlock this mode faster, my Resident Evil Requiem Speedrun Guide will help you shave hours off your clock.

The Challenge Ledger

Before you drop into the streets of Raccoon City, you need to know exactly what the game expects from you. Here is the complete breakdown of every challenge, the massive CP payouts waiting for you, and the baseline requirements to cross them off your list.

Challenge Name CP Reward Completion Requirement
Ready to Die 1,000 CP Fail Leon Must Die Forever three times.
Farewell to Arms 1,000 CP Discard a weapon from your inventory.
Just Say... Yes? 3,000 CP Refine 50 enhancers over multiple playthroughs.
The Exterminator 3,000 CP Defeat a total of 30 Midas Spinners or Aurora Spinners.
Going Door-to-Door 5,000 CP Use every single glowing door across all maps.
Same City, Different Tyrant 10,000 CP Defeat the Super Tyrant on Forever Rank 2 or higher.
Leon's ARK 9,000 CP Defeat the Commander on Forever Rank 2 or higher.
Victor Must Die Now 35,000 CP Defeat Victor on Forever Rank 3 or higher.
Leon's Limbo 15,000 CP On Rank 3 or higher, survive for 40 minutes and kill 110 enemies before Victor.
Leon's Purgatory 15,000 CP On Rank 3 or higher, defeat Victor without using any slot expansions.
Leon's Inferno 15,000 CP On Rank 3 or higher, inflict 5,000 damage on the Super Tyrant in one hit.

The Introductory Sacrifices

Before you try sweating through a perfect run right out of the gate, focus on extracting the easiest points. The first few challenges require almost zero mechanical skill and serve as a harsh introduction to the mode.

Embracing Death and Discarding Gear

Knock out the Ready to Die challenge immediately. It rewards a quick 1,000 CP. You just need to spawn into Main Street and let the infected put you six feet under three separate times. While you are orchestrating your own demise, you can easily grab the Farewell to Arms challenge for another 1,000 CP. Open your inventory, select your default pistol, and discard it completely. Restart your run immediately so you get your gun back and keep your points.

Enhancers and Exterminators

You will passively complete The Exterminator over time. This challenge asks you to squash 30 Midas Spinners or Aurora Spinners. These are the golden spiders scurrying around each stage that add precious minutes to your timer. Do not ignore them. Shooting them is entirely mandatory for deeper runs anyway. The Just Say... Yes? objective requires you to refine 50 enhancers. You achieve this by accumulating over 100 points and hitting your bumper buttons to snatch an Enhancement Ability. You cannot realistically do this all in one run. Accept the grind and keep spending your points consistently.

The Door to Door Grind

Map knowledge is absolutely critical in Resident Evil Requiem. You cannot simply blast your way in a straight line if you want to unlock everything. The stages intertwine in ways that demand careful navigation and thorough exploration.

Opening Every Route

The Going Door to Door challenge gives you 5,000 CP for using all 17 glowing doors spread across the map. You will need to take different branching paths on multiple runs to find them all. Main Street holds three doors leading to the Care Center, the Rehabilitation Ward, and the East Raccoon City Streets. The Care Center has three doors of its own. The Rehabilitation Ward has two. The Streets have three, and the Central Camp has three. Finally, the Commander, Blister Borne, and Super Tyrant arenas each have one door leading back to Victor. Keeping track of your progress here is a nightmare. I strongly advise keeping a physical checklist on your desk. The game provides no tracking tools to show you which specific doors you have successfully opened. Wandering through identical corridors hoping to stumble across the one door you missed will quickly drain your sanity.

Boss Ranks and Routes

The real money lies in the high tier boss challenges. Before you waste hours trying to fight the Super Tyrant on your first run, you need to understand the ranking system. The game requires you to defeat Victor on level 20 just to unlock Forever Rank 2. Once you have that rank secured, you can start hunting the big targets.

Hunting the Super Tyrant and Commander

The Same City, Different Tyrant challenge pays out 10,000 CP. You must defeat the Super Tyrant on Rank 2 or higher. The most efficient route starts at Main Street. You move directly to the East Raccoon City Streets and walk straight into the Super Tyrant arena. The Leon's ARK challenge requires you to kill the Commander on Rank 2 for 9,000 CP. Your route changes entirely for this target. Start at Main Street, head into the Care Center, and push straight to the Commander. Do not bother exploring optional areas on these boss runs. Grab what you need and keep moving forward to preserve your resources.

Taking Down Victor

The Victor Must Die Now challenge is worth a staggering 35,000 CP. You must execute Victor on Rank 3. Rank 3 only becomes available after you kill Victor twice on lower difficulties. The optimal path for this massive payout is moving from Main Street to the Care Center, pushing through the Central Camp, surviving Blister Borne, and finally entering Victor's domain. You need to hoard your healing items and play incredibly safe during this entire sequence.

The Ultimate Tests of Endurance

If you thought the standard runs were punishing, the final three challenges are designed to drain your soul completely. By the time you reach Forever Rank 3, the infected hit like freight trains and your resources are severely limited. You have to manipulate the core mechanics heavily to pull these off.

Surviving Leon's Limbo

The Leon's Limbo objective is an absolute gauntlet. You need to survive for at least 40 minutes and rack up 110 kills before fighting Victor on Rank 3. Before you panic about the strict time limit, use your CP to grab the Aurora Spinners upgrade. This tweak forces the Midas Spinners to grant huge chunks of time upon death. You must take the absolute longest route possible to find 110 enemies. Go from Main Street to the Care Center, transition to the East Raccoon City Streets, push into Blister Borne, and then face Victor.

Purgatory and Inferno Requirements

Leon's Purgatory restricts your loadout severely. You must defeat Victor on Rank 3 without using a single slot expansion. You are capped at six Enhancement Abilities. Stay far away from the Slot Expansions inside weapon crates. Rely entirely on your core mechanics and perfect positioning.

Finally, Leon's Inferno demands a 5,000 damage strike against the Super Tyrant in a single hit. The game explicitly bans the RPG for this. Equip the Requiem Pistol or a high caliber Rifle. You need to stack Enhancement Abilities that scale close range damage and specific weapon type damage. You also need the enhancement that gives you a massive damage buff when your health drops into the critical red zone. Ensure you have the Unyielding Judge Ability Boost active from your Special Content menu to force the scaling higher. Let the Super Tyrant beat you down until your screen is violently pulsing red, aim carefully, and pull the trigger.
