Life Is Strange: Reunion Evidence Guide: The Major Gumshoe Run
You cannot properly accuse an arsonist if you leave half of your case files sitting in a desk drawer.
The central narrative of this game revolves entirely around Max and Chloe trying to figure out who set the devastating fires at Caledon University. The game will automatically hand you the core story clues. However, if you want to make the most informed decision possible and secure the highly missable Major Gumshoe achievement, you have to hunt down the optional evidence yourself.
Before you start hunting, you must understand a massive mechanical trap. You cannot use the 'Explore Scene' feature to get this achievement. If you miss a piece of evidence, you must use the 'Restart Scene' option from the main menu and physically play the game continuously from that point all the way to the 'All Available Evidence' scene. If you just jump around the timeline, the game will not track your progress correctly.
Whatever choice you made in in your Life Is Strange: Reunion Starting Choices, you still have to do the legwork. Here is exactly where to find every hidden clue without breaking your playthrough.
The Class Act Scene
You can grab the first three pieces of evidence in rapid succession while Max is handling her photography class in the Quad.
Fire Warning Flyer & Protest Sign
After Max finishes demonstrating the assignment, walk in a straight line toward the small set of stairs leading to the barred renovation site. Turn left to find the Caledon Bulletin board facing those stairs. Interact with it and make sure you physically scroll through every single paper pinned there. You will see Amanda's flyer and an Abraxacast ad, but the game specifically logs the Fire Warning for Lakeport County and the Abraxas Protest flyer as your required evidence.
Reggie's Notes
Later in the exact same scene, you have to act as a wingman so Reggie can sneak a photo of the Preppy Student he is crushing on. While he is distracted taking the picture, look at the nearby picnic table. You will spot his notes sitting there. Interact with them and make sure you check both pages so Max officially remarks on them.
The Open Mic Night Scene
You only need to worry about a single item in the Snapping Turtle bar.
Vox Populi Podcast Card
After you watch Amanda's stage performance, you get the opportunity to talk to Lucas at a nearby booth. You have to butter him up. When the dialogue opens, ask him about the new novel he has been working on. Once the conversation ends, look at the small table nearby and grab one of his Vox Populi podcast business cards. This also doubles as progress toward the Podcast Overload achievement.
The Fremont Street Scene
Max conducts some mild trespassing outside the Abraxas House, and there are two documents left out in the open.
Fremont Neighborhood Map
Before you even try to enter the house, look to the left side of the area. You will spot a massive trailer truck. Walk around to the passenger seat at the very front of the cab. You will find the map sitting right on the seat.
Abraxas Inspection Flyer
Head over to the right side of the yard outside the house. You will see a blue car parked next to a red truck. The inspection flyer is resting directly on the trunk of the blue car.
The Admin Sleuth Scene
This scene requires you to do some actual research and desk snooping to secure your clues.
Jack Parsons Newspaper Article
First, head into the library to find Loretta. After you speak to her, walk over to the right wall near the fireplace and inspect the books. You need to find and read the History of the Occult book. Once you have read it, walk back to Loretta and select the new "Jack Parsons" dialogue option. This prompts her to pull up an online article, which successfully registers as your evidence.
Demolition Contract
Later in the scene, you have to convince Vinh to leave the area with Owen. Once the coast is clear, sneak into Owen's office. Do not interact with his computer yet. Check the open desk drawer on the right side to find the physical contract.
The Times In Turtle Scene
You take control of Chloe for this brief interaction, and the game explicitly refuses to tell you that you actually collected the evidence.
Fireworks Receipt
As soon as the scene starts, walk to the far end of the bar counter where it touches the wall on the right side. You will see a box of fireworks sitting there. Interact with it and select the "Ask" prompt to question Amanda about them. Doing this automatically secures the receipt in your inventory. You will not get a notification, but it will appear on the whiteboard later.
The Mabon Scene
The final piece of optional evidence is locked behind a major combat choice. If you pick the wrong prompt, you permanently miss the item.
Blueprint
As Chloe investigates the Abraxas House basement, she finds a hidden room. When she exits the crevice, an intruder carrying a sledgehammer shows up and corners Reggie. The game forces you to make a massive split second decision: 'Distract' or 'Attack'.
You must choose Attack. Chloe will brutally tackle the intruder, knocking him down before they escape. The physical impact causes the intruder to drop a piece of paper on the floor. Chloe will automatically scoop it up, securing the Blueprint.
Once you push the story forward and finally arrive at the 'All Available Evidence' scene, the Major Gumshoe trophy will unlock the second you look at the fully populated whiteboards. Having a complete case file makes the final accusations significantly easier to parse.
