The Marvel Rivals Hellfire Bay Beach event just dropped a massive 2500 free Units in your lap, but you need to act fast before half of them expire.
I love a good beach day as much as anyone, especially when it actually pays me. You can access this sunny new social hub by stepping through the portal inside the Times Square mode. Once you hit the sand, you'll spot four distinct event tracks throwing free currency around. Some of these are permanent additions to your wallet. Others come with aggressive expiration dates that will erase your hard-earned balance if you forget to spend them. Before you find yourself staring at an empty account balance on July 11, I broke down exactly how these competing timers work so you grab every single Unit.
Milking The X-Press Juice Bar
Cyclops opened up a refreshment stand right in the middle of the Hellfire Bay Beach hub, and visiting him is your fastest ticket to a giant pile of cash.
Walk up to the counter, hit the prompt, and you can grab a daily juice reward. He hands out these Units in batches of 100 and 300. If you do this on seven different days, you walk away with a whopping 1500 Units. It's incredibly simple, but there is a massive catch you need to watch out for.
The Brutal Expiration Date
Before you start dreaming about hoarding this specific stash for next year, read the fine print. These 1500 Units are entirely temporary. The juice bar event kicks off on June 18 and runs until July 10 at 1 AM PT. You have roughly three weeks to log in seven times. That leaves plenty of breathing room, but any Units you earn from Cyclops will vanish completely from your account if you don't spend them by that July 10 deadline. I highly recommend spending them on the new summer skins immediately.
Grinding Tandem Tides For Permanent Cash
If you prefer currency that stays in your pocket permanently, head over to the event tab marked by the little van icon.
The Tandem Tides event offers up to 600 permanent Units. The catch here is that it forces you into a co-op squad system instead of letting you handle things solo. You have to invite your friends to form a Co-op Connection squad. Once your group is linked up, everyone shares progress. Every time a member of your party completes a daily mission or an exclusive event challenge, the whole group gets Tandem Tides Points.
Maximizing Your Squad Output
You need a total of 1600 Tandem Tide Points to clear out the entire reward track. The 600 Units drop in specific milestone batches along the way. You get a quick 100 Units early on, followed by cosmetic titles and nameplates, before a final drop of 500 Units split into portions of 200 and 300.
Before you try to grind this out with just one friend, remember that the party capacity allows up to three friends to join you. A full four-person squad basically quadruples your point generation. You have until July 30 at 1 AM PT to finish this track.
Securing Summer Snapshots
The snapshot feature is back for the summer, letting you secure quick pockets of permanent cash just for playing photographer around the beach.
You'll find several distinct photo shoot spots equipped with cameras scattered across Hellfire Bay Beach. Walk up to a camera, press G to interact, pick a hero, and take the picture. Press C to share it with a friend or drop it into the chat, and you instantly get 100 free Units.
Beating The Cooldown
You can't just sprint around the map and trigger every single photo spot in five minutes. The event slaps you with a cooldown, limiting your snapshot claims to once every seven days. You can complete this process up to two times during the festival to get your 200 permanent Units. Like the team challenges, you have until the July 30 conclusion to get your check-ins done.
The Uplifting Welcome Bonus
The final piece of the puzzle rewards you just for showing up early.
Loading into the Hellfire Bay Beach hub at least once before June 27 at 4 PM PT registers you for the Uplifting Welcome bonus. You don't have to shoot anything or complete any challenges. Just drop onto the map before that deadline, and a flat reward of 200 Units hits your account right when the timer runs out on June 27.
