Mixtape Trophy & Achievement Guide: Every Unlock, Zero Spoilers Wasted

Mixtape is one of those rare games where going for 100% completion doesn't feel like math homework.

Three characters skateboard and skate down a winding mountain road lined with vibrant orange autumn trees in a gameplay screenshot from Mixtape.

I'd put the difficulty somewhere around a 2 or 3 out of 10 at most, and the whole thing wraps up in roughly four hours. There are no missable trophies either, thanks to a chapter select that lets you hop back in and clean up anything you skipped. That said, a handful of these will catch you off guard if you're not paying attention, so before you autopilot through the credits and wonder why your trophy list has gaps, here's everything you need.

Quick Stats

A clean overview before getting into the weeds.

Stat Detail
Total Trophies 27 (including Platinum) on PlayStation / 26 Achievements on Xbox & PC
Estimated Difficulty 2 or 3 /10
Approximate Time to 100% Around 4/5 hours
Missable Trophies 0 - chapter select available after completing each chapter
Minimum Playthroughs 1, if you use this guide during your first run

Every Trophy and Achievement

The full list, organised by chapter, with the tips you actually need. The story-related ones unlock automatically so I've kept those brief. The ones that need a bit of work get the attention they deserve.

Story Trophies (Auto-Unlock)

These pop on their own as long as you finish the relevant chapter. No extra effort needed.

Trophy / Achievement When It Unlocks
The Sound of the Future Platinum - unlock every other trophy. PlayStation only.
Goodbye, Stacey's Room Automatically after completing Chapter 10: The Ritz Discovery.
Matching The Drapes Automatically after completing Chapter 18: Bodacious Cretaceous.
Eight Minute Odyssey Automatically after completing Chapter 26: Starlight Video.
Last Song Complete the game. Hold the skip button during the credits if you're in a hurry.

Skill-Based and Missable Trophies

These are the ones that need deliberate effort. A few are time-limited minigames, a couple require specific decisions, and one - Front to Back - is its own beast entirely. I've flagged the ones worth your closest attention.

Trophy / Achievement Chapter How to Get It
Thrashed Ch. 1 (or any skate section) Ollie over a car while skating. Aim for the shorter white or red cars - the taller ones require frame-perfect timing you don't need to bother with.
Front to Back Ch. 25: Slater's House Find every interactable and exhaust every conversation across all four bedrooms. This one has a full dedicated guide - read it at Mixtape: Front to Back Trophy Guide before you start.
French Connection Ch. 3: The Kiss Stay in the kissing minigame for 60 seconds. Time it yourself - the trophy doesn't pop until you back out, so don't exit early.
Smooth Shopper Ch. 5: Shopping Cart Bomb Don't hit any cars on the way down the hill. Clipping boxes and cones is fine - cars are the only thing that counts against you.
Grunge Metal Alchemist Ch. 8: Ultimate Slushie Mix Blue Crush, Bubblegum, Lime, and Orange into one cup. Order and ratios don't matter. Full details in the Grunge Metal Alchemist guide.
Cone Island, Baby. Ch. 11: Skate to Cassandra's Hit all 10 orange cones during this skating section. There are exactly 10, so missing one means replaying the chapter. The trickiest two are when the camera shifts to overhead angle - if you miss them, try swerving into the blue car to reset your position just before that stretch.
Skim Gordon Ch. 12: Skipping Stones Throw a stone through the tire swing on the right side of the lake. Aim your reticle toward the top-center of the hole and charge your throw fully. You get unlimited attempts.
Instructions Not Required Ch. 17: Cassandra's Rooftop Swap the Minimaster's batteries in under 15 seconds. Flip it immediately, pop the cover, slot both batteries, close it up, flip it back over, hit the power button. It's faster than it sounds once you know the sequence.
And It's Outta There! Ch. 14: Softball Hit only home runs as Cassandra. Use Rockford's batting turn to get a feel for the timing, then focus on pushing the stick in the exact direction of each pitch before swinging. Any clean connection as Cassandra counts as a home run.
Triple Ply Ch. 15: Toilet Paper Attack Keep throwing rolls at the house until 50 total land. Don't leave the scene early when prompted - just keep going until the trophy pops.
It's the Pigs, Darling Ch. 16: Floating on Sadness Hit 3 pig balloons while floating. They appear late in the section. Honestly, you can put the controller down - the balloons are placed directly in your path and you'll drift into them naturally. The trophy unlocks at the end of the section, not on impact.
Don't. Move. Ch. 18: Bodacious Cretaceous Take 20 photos in the abandoned dinosaur park. Spam the camera the moment you get access and you'll hit 20 without even moving around much.
Appetite for Destruction Ch. 19: Skateboard Explosion Blow up every object on the route. Just mash both triggers constantly from start to finish - highlighted items explode when you're close enough and you won't miss anything. The trophy pops at the gumball machine in the mall if you've hit everything.
Paint it, Black, If You Want. Ch. 21: Door Painting Paint the full door in under 30 seconds. Start from one corner, roll straight up the full edge, shift slightly to overlap your last strip, and repeat across the door. You don't need pixel-perfect coverage - small gaps at the end can be patched quickly.
Sofa King Fast Ch. 22: Couch Moving Get the couch into position within 30 seconds. Move both sticks right immediately and take the straightest path possible. You need to be directly over the floor marker for it to turn green and accept the drop.
Leaves That Are Green Ch. 23: Leaf Sweeping Clear all leaves from the firepit circle in under 45 seconds. Charge your sweeps from the center outward first to shift the bulk of them, then clean the edges with quick taps. Charged sweeps move far more leaves per second than rapid tapping alone.
From the Hip Ch. 24: Slingshot Hit every can and bottle on the car in under 30 seconds. It says cans in the description but every bottle counts too. Prioritise accuracy over speed - a missed shot costs more time than a careful aim.
Doppelbanger Ch. 26: Starlight Video Knock over all 5 character cutouts in the video store. Two are at the end of left-side aisles, two on the back wall, one near the clerk. Don't head to the counter until this pops.
Tapehead Graveyard Ch. 26: Starlight Video Knock 200 VHS tapes off the shelves in the same chapter. Just keep bumping into the shelves while you're hunting the cutouts and you'll hit 200 without thinking about it.
Well, Take a Look at You Ch. 27: The Run Don't miss a single jump or slide during the auto-runner section. Jump over everything solid, slide under everything low. Taller obstacles like fences that Rockford clips visually don't count as fails - only missed inputs do. The trophy unlocks right before the cutscene at the trash can.
Banned in Massachusetts Ch. 28: Coastal Cruise Don't miss any fireworks during the cruise. Mash both triggers continuously rather than waiting to react - the timing window on individual presses can catch you out if you're not already pressing when fireworks appear.
Fight for Your Right Ch. 29: Party at the Ritz Accept every item offered by partygoers while filming the party. Don't rush toward the white-box filming markers - partygoers with items are scattered around the yard and easy to walk past. Keep draining the bathtub drinks near the stairs and taking food snacks from the plate in the middle of the area until no more prompts appear.

The One Trophy Worth Planning Around

Most of the list above you can clean up with chapter select in an evening. Front to Back is the exception. It tracks every interactable object and conversation across four separate bedrooms, and while chapter select does carry your progress, some players have reported it not working reliably for this specific trophy. The safest approach by a significant margin is to do it all in a single playthrough.

Before you start the game, I'd recommend reading the full Front to Back trophy guide separately. It maps out every room in the exact order the game presents them, so you're not scrambling to remember if you spoke to Slater before touching the bulletin board.

The Two Most Commonly Missed Items

If you've already finished the game and Front to Back didn't pop, these are the culprits almost every time. The curtains above the window in Cassandra's room require you to look up to spot the interaction marker - it's nowhere near your natural sightline. The closed door in Rockford's hallway is easy to walk straight past because it looks like set dressing rather than an interactable. Both are covered in the dedicated guide, but flag those two specifically if you're doing a cleanup run.
