Palworld 1.0 Tower Boss Guide: The Complete Boss Order and Weaknesses

Walking into a boss arena without checking elemental weaknesses is a great way to waste ten minutes getting punted across the room.

The launch of version 1.0 pushed the ultimate boss gauntlet to a total of nine massive encounters. Because the map is completely open, it's incredibly easy to accidentally wander into a level 50 tower while you're still wearing primitive cloth armor. Before you blindly trigger a fight and get sent back to the respawn screen, I mapped out the intended progression route. I'll show you exactly what order to tackle these massive structures in and the specific elemental weaknesses you need to exploit to survive.

The Basic Rules of the Gauntlet

Tower Bosses don't operate like the standard Alpha creatures you find wandering around the beaches. The moment you step through a tower door, the game locks you into a highly restricted arena with a strict 10-minute timer. No pressure.

If you don't completely deplete the boss's massive health pool before that clock hits zero, you fail the encounter and get kicked out. You have to bring your absolute highest damage loadouts and actually use the pillars scattered around the arena to dodge incoming attacks. If you're struggling to output enough damage on your own, you can always bring up to three friends into the instance through standard multiplayer.

The main reason you want to hunt these targets down is the payout. The first time you clear a tower, you receive a massive bundle of five Ancient Technology Points. If your wallet is empty, check out my guide on how to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld to see exactly why these payouts are critical for your base building. Beating the boss also unlocks a fast travel point at the very top of the tower, giving you an incredible vantage point for gliding across the map.

The Complete Tower Boss Order

To keep you from constantly dying to over-leveled enemies, I compiled the entire nine-boss gauntlet in the exact order you should face them.

While you can technically sequence break the first seven bosses if you really hate yourself, the final two encounters are strictly locked behind story progression. You can't access Sunreach to fight Auri until you crush Bjorn in the Feybreak region. Once you clear out the first eight targets, the final seal opens.

Boss Name Level & Weakness Tower Location
Zoe and Grizzbolt Level 10 (Ground) Rayne Syndicate Tower [113, -431]
Lily and Lyleen Level 25 (Fire) Free Pal Alliance Tower [181, 29]
Axel and Orserk Level 40 (Ice / Ground) Eternal Pyre Tower [-587, -517]
Marcus and Faleris Level 45 (Water) PIDF Tower [556, 336]
Victor and Shadowbeak Level 50 (Dragon) PAL Genetic Research Tower [-146, 448]
Saya and Selyne Level 55 (Dragon) Sakurajima Tower [-597, 203]
Bjorn and Bastigor Level 60 (Fire) Feybreak Tower [-1294, -1669]
Auri and Shaolong Level 68 (Varies) Sunreach Azure Tapestry Tower
Zenara and Astralym Level 80 (No Weakness) World Tree Sealed Sanctum

Reaching the New 1.0 Bosses

If you're pushing into the new zones, you'll notice a massive difficulty spike starting at Bjorn. Take a look at my Palworld sunreach feybreak tower guide to figure out how to disable the defense modules blocking Auri's arena. Once you clear that hurdle, you can read up on my Palworld 1.0 final boss guide to prepare for Zenara's brutal mechanics.

Hard Mode Cosmetics and Rematches

If you somehow breeze through the level 80 cap and want to flex, you can replay the entire gauntlet on a higher difficulty.

The developers added a Hard Mode option for every single tower. Completing these rematches on the hardest difficulty rewards you with exclusive cosmetic hats modeled directly after the specific boss you just defeated. You can farm these rematches as often as you like for basic experience points. Keep in mind that the initial five point Ancient Technology payout only drops once per character.

Can You Still Catch Tower Bosses?

During early access, a popular glitch involved intentionally catching a wanted level from the PIDF guards and tricking them into shooting the Tower Bosses. This broke the capture math and let you pocket the boss directly.

Before you waste hours trying to replicate that trick, you should know that Pocketpair permanently patched that exploit out back in version 0.1.5.0.

The 1.0 update does offer a legitimate path to recruitment for the first boss, though. After you defeat Zoe at the Rayne Syndicate Tower, you'll unlock a brand new sub-mission titled "Don't Get Cocky." Completing this questline lets you officially recruit Zoe to your roster. You can also occasionally find her hanging out near the Desolate Church where you can capture her directly with a standard sphere. Grabbing her in the wild means she doesn't come with Grizzbolt attached, so you're basically just kidnapping a Syndicate member. Still, adding Zoe to your camp is a fantastic way to celebrate clearing your first major milestone.
