Saber Interactive Looks To Be Swapping Off-Road Mud For Wheat Fields In Leaked Farming Simulator

Saber Interactive might be preparing to bring its signature heavy machinery physics to the agricultural world if a new leak is anything to go by.

I love a good accidental leak, especially when a studio leaves the digital front door completely unlocked. Saber Interactive has built a massive reputation on heavy vehicles fighting brutal terrain, but it looks like the team is shifting focus toward something a bit more domestic. Instead of dragging a heavy scout truck out of a frozen swamp, you might soon find yourself managing a fleet of tractors.

The Leak From The Testing Trenches

I tracked this discovery back to a fascinating post on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit.

As spotted by the folks at Reddit, specifically a user named MacFit, Saber Interactive apparently put out a call on X seeking playtesters for a completely unannounced simulation project. Out of pure curiosity, MacFit signed up for the program. Before any official non-disclosure agreements were even sent over or signed, the studio automatically added them to an active Discord server dedicated to the project.

The server itself is called Community testing, and the welcome message from a coordinator named Cocax lays out the entire plan. The post explicitly states that the space will be used to organize and debrief PC playtest sessions for an unannounced simulation game to collect early feedback.

The Harvesting Smoking Gun

While the text on the Discord channel tries to keep things vague by just calling it an unannounced simulation game, the visual choices give the entire game away. The official icon for the server is GMT-friendly and shows a combine harvester parked right in the middle of a massive wheat field. It is a hilariously unsubtle clue for a project that is supposedly a closely guarded secret.

Why A Farming Sim Fits Saber Perfectly

If you look at the catalog of games under the Saber umbrella, a dedicated farming title makes an immense amount of sense.

The studio already handles an impressive lineup of vehicle-focused simulations. You have likely spent hours struggling against terrain in SnowRunner or charting paths in Expeditions, and the team currently has titles like RoadCraft and Road Kings on its radar. Farming machinery actually isn't entirely new territory for the studio either. Saber previously experimented with agricultural elements during a specific DLC season for SnowRunner, where you had to manage crops using heavy vehicles. Extending that specific mechanic into a full independent release feels like a completely natural evolution.

The Rest Of The Busy Slate

This leak paints a picture of an incredibly packed schedule for the developers. Between managing their existing simulation titles and handling major intellectual properties, the studio has its hands in multiple projects. Community members in the leak thread immediately pointed out that Saber is still attached to highly anticipated projects like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, which shifted from Aspyr to Saber back in August 2022, alongside an upcoming Hellraiser game scheduled for later this year.
