WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass Guide: Surviving the New Grind

Instead of simply buying a DLC pack and playing with your favorite wrestlers immediately, 2K decided we need to treat unlocking characters like a part time job.

The traditional wrestling game DLC model is officially dead. If you bought the standard edition of WWE 2K26 and expected to just buy a SuperCharger pack to unlock the legends, you are in for a rude awakening. Visual Concepts replaced the entire post launch content system with the Ringside Pass. It is a live service battle pass injected directly into a premium priced sports game. I know a massive chunk of the community absolutely despises this change, but complaining on Reddit will not unlock the new arenas. The system is here to stay, so we have to figure out how to beat it.

I have spent the first bit of the early access launch calculating exactly how this progression system ticks. The game asks for a ridiculous amount of your free time, but if you know which modes to exploit, you can tear through the reward tiers without completely losing your sanity. Here is everything you need to know to farm RXP and claim your content.

How the Ringside Pass Actually Works

Before you start aimlessly playing exhibition matches, you need to understand the underlying math of the new economy.

The Ringside Pass features 40 tiers of content. It uses a dual track system, meaning there is a free path available to everyone and a premium path you have to buy. Unlocking a tier grants you the rewards from both tracks simultaneously. The free track is mostly stuffed with virtual currency, MyFACTION packs, and cosmetic banners. The premium track holds the actual heavy hitters. That is where you find the four new DLC Superstars, two alternate Personas, fresh arenas, and new championship belts.

There is one massive saving grace to this entire format. The seasons never expire. Visual Concepts plans to drop six different Ringside Passes over the next year, roughly one every seven weeks. When Season 2 launches in April, Season 1 does not vanish into the void. You can easily switch your active progression back to an older pass if you fall behind. You are not forced to succumb to the traditional battle pass fear of missing out.

The Brutal Reality of RXP Math

You progress through the pass by earning Ringside Experience Points, or RXP. You need exactly 800 RXP to unlock a single tier.

If you just play standard matches in Play Now mode, you will earn roughly 110 RXP per match depending on your performance and whether you win or lose. Doing the math on that is physically painful. You are looking at nearly 290 standard matches just to finish the 40 tiers of a single season. If you are a casual player who only boots the game up on weekends, that simply is not a viable strategy. You need to focus on the massive one time payouts and the recurring weekly challenges to speed up the process.

The Fastest Ways to Farm RXP

If you want to clear the first 20 tiers and unlock all the DLC Superstars quickly, you need to play the modes that actively dump bonus RXP into your account.

Clear the CM Punk Showcase First

Stop messing around in Universe mode and go finish the Showcase. Playing through CM Punk's historical timeline consists of 21 specific matches. Not only do you unlock a ton of alternate attires and classic arenas by completing the objectives, but the mode hands out massive RXP completion bonuses for every single match you finish. By the time you beat the final objective, you will have skipped several pass tiers effortlessly.

Mine the MyRISE Milestones

The career mode is your next most efficient stop. A standard playthrough of the MyRISE story takes roughly eight hours. You earn the standard match completion RXP for every fight, but the game also rewards you with heavy RXP dumps every time you hit a major narrative milestone. Running through both the Men's and Women's division storylines will comfortably push you through the midpoint of the Ringside Pass.

Exploit The Island and MyFACTION

Once you dry up the single player story modes, you have to pivot to the live service content. The Island features an open world section with its own dedicated challenge menu. The daily challenges offer a modest drip of experience, but the Weekly Challenges will drop hundreds of RXP into your lap at once.

Over in the card collecting nightmare that is MyFACTION, you want to target the Lifetime Challenges. These are specific gameplay milestones that offer huge payouts. For example, if you manage to earn 250 MFP in a single match, the game instantly rewards you with 300 RXP. You can easily manipulate this by setting up a chaotic 4v4 tag match and spamming your taunts and signature moves.

RXP Eligibility Breakdown

Do not waste your evening playing a mode that gives you absolutely zero progress.

Game Mode RXP Status & Strategy
Showcase & MyRISE Highly Eligible. The absolute best place to start for massive one time milestone bonuses.
The Island Highly Eligible. Focus entirely on the Weekly Challenges for massive recurring payouts.
MyFACTION Eligible. Great for knocking out Daily and Lifetime challenges if you can stomach the card mechanics.
Universe & MyGM Eligible. It provides a slow, steady drip of standard match RXP.
Custom Online Lobbies Not Eligible. You earn absolutely zero RXP playing private matches with your friends.
