Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Trophy & Achievement Guide
Sailing back into the golden age of piracy feels entirely different when the Caribbean is packed with hours of fresh additions.
The Resynced version completely overhauled the trophy list. The developers tossed out the old multiplayer grind and the annoying mission constraints. They replaced them with a heavy focus on the new content, manor upgrades, and a few ridiculously lucky random encounters. The Platinum run takes roughly 40 to 50 hours. You can do everything on the easiest difficulty, but you need to start tracking certain goals immediately if you want to avoid a miserable post-game grind.
RNG Headaches You Need to Start Immediately
Before you sail around aimlessly in the endgame, start working on these luck-based trophies right now. Waiting until Sequence 12 to start these will add hours of boring idle time to your playthrough.
The Infamous Burning Chair
The "Last To Leave" trophy is easily the most frustrating task in the game. You need to find a randomly spawning Burning Ship event out on the water, board it, and sit in a chair. The problem is that these events are incredibly rare. The chance of one spawning with a chair on the deck is even lower. Keep your eyes peeled for white ship icons on your map.
If you get stuck trying to find one, you can force the game to randomly generate events. Fast travel to The Black Trench shipwreck in the Castillo de Jagua region. Pull out your scope and look around. If you do not see a burning ship, reload your manual save at the Great Inagua manor and fast travel back to the trench. Keep doing this until you get lucky.
Farming Kenway's Fleet for Art
Fully upgrading the Great Inagua manor for the "Dilettante" trophy requires tracking down dozens of paintings, models, and weapons. The massive bottleneck here is the 19 Art Pieces tied to Kenway's Fleet. You can exclusively get these by sending Brigs on Piracy missions. The drop rate is entirely random and each mission takes up to an hour.
Capture at least five Brigs early on and constantly send them out on missions while you play the main story. Make a manual save before you accept your fleet reports. If the rewards do not include an art piece, reload your save and accept the report again to reroll the missions.
Combat and Open World Milestones
The combat in Resynced is very forgiving. A few achievements require some specific setups, but you can knock them out quickly if you know where to look.
Dodging Pigs and Hanging Guards
Before you get mauled trying to fight a wild pig head-on, head to Cape Bonavista for the "Matador" achievement. Aggro a pig and wait for the red attack indicator before dodging. You do not have to do it consecutively, so just take your time and slow down.
For "The Hangman" trophy, start farming your 10 hanging kills the second you unlock the rope dart in Sequence 3. Hide on tree branches above patrol routes, yank them up, and let gravity do the work. Plantations and warehouses are the best spots for this.
If you need the "Gun-kata" achievement, you have to kill four enemies in five seconds with your pistols. Upgrade your holsters to carry four guns first. The easiest way to pull this off is to put four guards to sleep with darts, walk up, and rapid-fire shoot them before they wake up. Alternatively, use smoke bombs during a ship boarding to group them up.
Naval Warfare and Upgrades
You aren’t getting 100 percent completion without turning the Jackdaw into a floating fortress. You need a massive chunk of change to buy all the ultimate plans, hull upgrades, and cosmetic slots for the "Ship This" trophy.
If you are broke, your first priority should be securing the map. Check out my AC Black Flag Resynced fort locations guide to track down every coastal stronghold. Blowing these up gives you tons of money and reveals the map. You will need a fully maxed-out ship to take down the five Legendary Ships for the "Devil Of The Caribbean" trophy anyway. Use my AC Black Flag Resynced advanced combat guide to brush up on your defensive maneuvers before taking them on.
The Complete Achievement Tracker
Here is the complete list of every achievement in the game and exactly what you need to do to unlock it. I omitted the automatic story progression milestones to keep this list focused on the tasks you actually have to hunt down.
