Crimson Desert Advanced Guide: 15 Exploits You Need Now
Forget the basic survival tips because it is time to completely break Pywel's physics engine and economy.
If you are still struggling to manage your stamina bar or you have not figured out how to clear the fog of war yet, you are in the wrong place. Go read my Crimson Desert beginner tips guide to get your bearings. This guide is for players who already know how to survive and are now looking to actively exploit the game.
Pearl Abyss built a staggeringly complex physics and economy system. Naturally, that means they left behind a trail of hilarious oversights, unintended movement tech, and infinite money loops. After putting over a hundred hours into the campaign, I stopped fighting fair. I started flinging myself across the map and robbing the wealthiest manors blind. Here is exactly how to bypass the intended grind and become an absolute menace in the mid-game.
Movement Exploits and Traversal Cheese
Exploring normally takes forever. The stamina system is incredibly restrictive, but the physics engine is surprisingly gullible. You can bypass almost every traversal limitation if you know which inputs to abuse.
The Infinite Precision Climb
Climbing tall structures normally drains your stamina extremely fast. However, you can scale practically any vertical surface in the game by ignoring the standard climbing animation entirely. Instead of holding the climb button, repeatedly use the precision jump input straight upward. The game fails to calculate the proper stamina tax for this specific chain of movements. You can scale massive castle walls and mountain peaks without ever breaking a sweat.
Axiom Force Tree Slingshots
Trees are not just set dressing. Once you unlock the Axiom Force telekinetic grapple, you can target the top of almost any tree trunk. Latch onto it, walk backward to pull the trunk down, and release it to launch yourself into the air. If you angle it correctly, you can fling Kliff across massive ravines.
Fall Damage Cancels
If you miscalculate a slingshot launch and find yourself plummeting toward a broken spine, you have a couple of lifelines. If you are gliding and simply run out of stamina, do not panic. Stop pushing forward on your movement stick. Kliff will transition into a slow vertical drop instead of falling like a stone. Alternatively, if you are in a freefall, triggering your heavy ground slam attack mid-air will negate a massive portion of the impact damage when you hit the dirt.
Stabbing Waterfalls
You will undoubtedly spot a waterfall and assume there is a hidden cave behind it. Walking into the water pressure simply knocks you backward and deals chip damage. The game never tells you this, but you have to use your forward stab attack to pierce the water tension. Step through the animation to claim the secret loot.
Advanced Quality of Life Secrets
The user interface in this game is an absolute disaster. The menus feel clunky, and looting a battlefield takes way too long. You have to force the game to behave.
The Hidden Menu Shortcut
Pressing the menu button and scrolling through tabs is agonizingly slow. The developers hid a shortcut system that they never explain. Hold your menu button down to bring up a radial wheel. Select your desired tab from there. The game will automatically assign your last visited tab as your quick-press shortcut.
Vacuum Looting and Remote Stashing
Do not tap the interact button to pick up individual items from a pile of corpses. Hold the button down and walk through the loot field to automatically vacuum everything up. If the game refuses to register the loot prompt, it is because your sword is drawn. Double press your left directional button to sheathe your weapon, and the looting hitboxes will immediately fix themselves.
If your bags are full deep in the wilderness, you do not have to walk all the way back to camp. Drop all your heavy crafting materials on the floor next to any sleepable bed in the world. When you wake up, the game automatically teleports the items you left on the floor directly into your private storage chest.
Magnifier Cooking and Horse Punching
Cooking requires a campfire, right? Wrong. You can drop raw meat on the ground and use your Blinding Flash light beam ability to literally cook it where it sits.
Your horse also benefits from unconventional logic. If your mount takes damage from a bad jump, you do not need to waste expensive stimulants. Stand next to the horse, charge up a Force Palm attack, switch it to the Healing variation, and punch your horse in the ribs. It instantly restores the animal's health. If you are trying to keep your stable healthy, check my mounts and vehicles guide for more details.
The Infinite Money Farms
Earning silver honestly is a waste of your time. The economy is heavily skewed against you, meaning you need to rely on repeatable cheese to afford your late game weapon and armor upgrades.
If you want to maximize your returns, remember to physically open your coin pouches in your inventory. The money does not extract itself. Read my dedicated make money fast guide if you need more legitimate ways to earn capital, but honestly, robbing Lioncrest Manor is significantly less stressful.
