Far Far West Guide: How to Find All Canyon Medallions and Unlock the Secret Door
Before you waste three hours digging in fake dirt mounds and blowing yourself up, you need a targeted plan to track down these hidden outlaws.
I learned the hard way that running around the desert without a map will just send you back to the lobby out of pure frustration. Added during the early 2026 playtests and solidified in the April launch, the Canyon map holds a massive secret. Opening the large locked door in the south central section of the map provides an incredible spike to your power level. You get access to a powerful passive card, a boss melting weapon, and an absolute mountain of gold to fund your upgrades. Whether you are running solo or checking out my Far Far West loadout co-op guide to coordinate with a partner, completing this secret mission early on is critical for your survival.
Starting the Canyon Hunt
You have to locate the vault and read the clues before you can start hunting down the targets.
The Dead Sheriff and the Wanted Note
Head down to the south central area of the Canyon map. You will spot a massive locked door embedded in the rock wall. The door features four empty circular slots. Right next to this vault is a dead sheriff clutching a wanted poster. Read the note immediately. It gives you the names of the three outlaws you need to track down to steal their medallions. The names on the bounty list are Bobby the Dynamiter, Johnny Hawkeye, and Sweaty the Gold Prospector. The fourth medal required for the door belongs to the sheriff himself.
Finding the Outlaw Medallions
The map does not hold your hand here. I broke down exactly where to go so you can avoid wandering into dead ends. If you find yourself swarmed by enemies while hunting in these secluded areas, you should review my Far Far West spell combos guide to clear the screen faster.
The Sheriff and Sweaty the Prospector
Grab the Sheriff's Medal first. It is sitting right on his body next to the locked door. Consider it a freebie.
Next, you want to track down Sweaty the Gold Prospector. Head toward the lower canyon section situated directly beneath the large bridge. You will find his corpse on the ground, but his medallion is buried in the dirt nearby. Grab a shovel and start looking for dig spots. Do not dig the mounds marked with skulls unless you want a nasty trap to put you six feet under. The real dig spot is located safely toward the southern edge of the cliff.
Bobby the Dynamiter and Johnny Hawkeye
To find Bobby the Dynamiter, you need to locate a specific mine shaft tucked under a collapsed bridge. The entrance is completely blocked by a pile of heavy gray rocks. Grab some dynamite from the surrounding area, light the fuse, and toss it at the rubble. Walk inside the cleared tunnel and pick up his medallion.
Finally, head to the western side of the canyon to find Johnny Hawkeye. You will see a metal safe with the number 10 painted clearly on the front. To open it, you have to shoot 10 bullseye targets hidden across the immediate area. Check the tops of the rock formations, look carefully under the zip lines, peek behind the wooden structures, and scan the minecart tracks. Once you shoot the final wooden target, the safe pops open and rewards you with the last medallion.
The Vault Rewards
Once your pockets are full, return to the locked door and slot the four medallions in. The loot hidden inside is completely worth the effort.
I compiled a list of exactly what you get for completing this easter egg so you know how to utilize your new gear.
