LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Achievement Guide
Grinding out the Platinum trophy in Gotham City requires an absurd amount of property damage.
You have exactly 52 achievements to unlock in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. It is a massive checklist pulling you through every dark corner of all nine districts. You need to finish the main campaign, solve dozens of tedious puzzles, and hoover up millions of plastic coins to claim that final Platinum trophy.
The good news is that TT Games took pity on us. They did not include a single missable trophy in the entire run. If you forget to grab a collectible during a story mission, you can just boot up the Batcomputer in your base and replay it later.
To keep you from endlessly scrolling through one giant table, I broke the requirements down into logical categories.
Story Progression
You unlock a huge chunk of this list simply by playing the game. You get trophies for finishing chapters, building your roster, and eventually wrapping up the main campaign.
I highly recommend ignoring the open world completely until you finish Chapter 6. Having the full character roster makes backtracking for hidden items significantly easier.
Gotham City Street Sweeping
Once you hit the open world, you have a lot of busywork ahead of you. It takes a solid amount of dedication to clean up these streets. #### Combat Milestones Batman famously adheres to a strict moral code, but hitting a random street thug 99 times in a row for an achievement really tests the limits of that rule. Do not just mash the attack button to get your combo multiplier up. Stun large groups with your Batarangs first, then safely punch your way to victory.
Open World Activities
I highly recommend using Batgirl for your exploration efforts. Her Hackarang unlocks district Towers, which instantly reveals the map icons you desperately need. Also, make sure you drop whatever you are doing whenever the police dispatch calls out a random crime. You need to stop 30 of them in total to clear the list.
The Billionaire Grind
Bruce Wayne has unlimited resources, yet you are the one stuck picking up plastic coins to pay for his gadgets. You need to fully upgrade your gear, buy out Bat-Mite's entire shop, and hoard over a million studs.
Breaking the Economy
If you try to unlock all the vehicle and suit achievements by punching mailboxes organically, you will be playing this game until next year. Before you waste your time, check out my guide on farming unlimited studs. I figured out exactly how to bypass the grind so you can just buy everything instantly.
A quick warning on the WayneTech caches: focus on upgrading just one character first. You need to purchase all gadget upgrades for a single hero to unlock "Wonderful Toys," so pour all your initial resources into Batman's Batclaw before spreading the wealth.
Collectible Hoarding
You need to track down over 200 WayneTech Caches, 25 Bat-Symbol coins, and every single Red Brick. The Riddler and Cluemaster also decided to team up and leave 61 separate puzzle rooms scattered around the map. Grab a coffee before you start hunting these down.
