LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Joker Interrogation Guide

Beating answers out of a plastic clown sounds highly productive until you realize the developers are just having a laugh at your expense.

During Chapter 5, the main campaign drops you directly into the grim halls of Arkham Asylum for a mission called A Serious House. You and Talia step into a dimly lit holding room to interrogate the Joker. Your ultimate goal is to extract crucial information regarding Bane and the overarching master plan of the League of Shadows.

The entire sequence is a direct, brick built spoof of the iconic interrogation scene from the 2008 film The Dark Knight. The game suddenly presents you with multiple dialogue trees, making it feel like a heavy narrative moment with branching consequences.

The Illusion of Choice

Before you waste an hour constantly reloading your checkpoint to see every single dialogue branch, I need to save you a massive headache.

Absolutely none of your decisions matter here. Every single path funnels you toward the exact same narrative outcome. You cannot fail the interrogation, and you cannot accidentally uncover a secret ending or unlock a hidden path for my complete achievement guide. The branching choices exist purely as a delivery mechanism for pop culture references.

The Interrogation Logs

Since you cannot see all the jokes in a single run without manually restarting the level, I documented every single reaction for you right here.

Dialogue Choice The Outcome
Good Cop Batman calls Joker his old buddy. Joker appreciates the politeness but claims he has never heard of the League of Shadows.
Bat Cop Batman speaks in actual bat chirps. Joker is utterly confused and says he does not know what the League of Shadows is.
Show Evidence Talia shows a photo of Bane. Joker brushes it off, saying he thought the guy's name was Dane.
Intimidate Talia threatens to show everyone his 2016 Suicide Squad tattoos. A terrified Joker admits Bane gives great hugs.
Cheesy Batman uses a terrible 1966 Adam West pun. Joker complains about the bad joke and says you are wasting his time.
Dark Batman does a gruff Ben Affleck impression. Joker notes the tone is a bit too dark and ignores the question.
Nutty Batman quotes Michael Keaton and spins his plastic head around. Joker claims he loves throwbacks but is allergic to nuts.
Bane's Boss? Talia asks who is pulling the strings. Joker deflects, stating that whoever it is, it certainly is not him.
Bane's Plan? Talia demands to know the master plan. Joker claims he is a lone wolf and has nothing to do with it.

Breaking Down the Cinematic Spoofs

The highlight of the entire mission happens during phase three. Batman tags back in for questioning, and the game gives you three options that directly mock previous live action iterations of the Caped Crusader.

Channeling Adam West

Selecting the Cheesy option channels the campy spirit of the 1966 television series. Batman threatens the clown by saying he will give him a punchline he will not find funny. The Joker immediately yells out in pain over the terrible pun and complains that you are wasting his time.

The Snyderverse Edge

The Dark option pulls straight from Ben Affleck's intense performance in the 2016 Dawn of Justice film. Batman drops his voice to an absurdly low gravel and aggressively asks if the clown will concede. The Joker physically shrinks back from the edge of the table, notes that this specific approach is a little too bleak even for Batman, and reiterates that you are just wasting time.

Michael Keaton's Chaos

If you want absolute absurdity, pick the Nutty option to honor the 1989 Bruce Wayne performance. Batman yells out his famous line about getting nuts before literally spinning his plastic head entirely around on his neck peg. The Joker laughs, admits he loves a good throwback, but claims he is unfortunately allergic to nuts.

The Ultimate Threat

While Batman's movie quotes are funny, Talia actually delivers the best punchline in the entire sequence during her Intimidate prompt. Instead of relying on physical violence, she uses psychological warfare. She threatens to show everyone inside Arkham Asylum the Joker's heavily tattooed character design from the 2016 Suicide Squad film. The sheer embarrassment of Jared Leto's forehead tattoo actually works. The Joker breaks a sweat and nervously admits that the only thing he knows about Bane is that the guy looks like he gives great hugs.

Once you finally exhaust the dialogue trees, the interrogation devolves into a mindless button mashing sequence where you repeatedly shout at the Joker. No matter how aggressively you press your controller, the scene ends exactly the same way. You leave the room with zero actual intel, but at least you got to traumatize him with bad fashion choices.
