LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Batcave Challenges Guide

Completing a challenge means absolutely nothing if you forget to actually collect your paycheck.

The progression systems in Gotham City are buried under a mountain of menus. While you are busy punching street thugs and collecting plastic coins, the game is quietly tracking dozens of background challenges. Finishing these tasks unlocks massive stud rewards and slowly reveals a giant mural in your underground base.

Cashing In Your Hard Work

Before you waste three hours grinding out stealth takedowns in the Prologue, you need to understand that the reward system is time gated. You can actively complete objectives during your initial hours on the streets, but you cannot claim a single reward until you hit Chapter 2.

Once you finally gain full access to the Batcave hub, you need to physically walk over to the challenge board to claim your cash. Head to the west side of the underground base just above the Batmobile garage. You will spot a glowing green computer terminal. Interacting with this console pulls up your full challenge list. Simply highlight the ones you have finished and press the action button to instantly cash them in for your stud rewards. If you are playing locally with a buddy using my co-op multiplayer guide, taking turns knocking out these repetitive combat objectives is a great way to speed up the process.

The Complete Challenge Board

There are exactly 43 challenges tracking everything from your combat performance to specific gadget interactions. Some of these require you to use specific heroes, so make sure you have fully unlocked your roster using my character unlock guide before trying to clear the board.

Challenge Name	Objective and Tips
9 Lives	Drop from a tall spot while playing as a kitten. Equip Catwoman and use her Call Kitty ability on a rooftop.
Assassin	Perform 200 stealth takedowns. Replaying the Chapter 1 Infiltration mission makes this a breeze.
Bouncer	Hit 3 different enemy types with a single Rebound Bolt. This requires Nightwing.
Brawler	Defeat 100 enemies without losing all your health. Drop the difficulty if you are struggling.
Brutal Combat	Defeat a Brute enemy. You face your first one during The Red Hood Gang mission.
Brute-Man	Make a Brute enemy run into smaller enemies 10 times. Bait their charge attack during combat.
Buddy System	Use the Cable Launcher to tie a smaller enemy to a Brute. This requires Robin.
Calculator	Reach the maximum stud multiplier.
Check It Out!	Throw Batarangs to lure enemies away from their posts 20 times.
Collector	Place more than 30 decorative objects in the Batcave.
Combo Crusader	Reach a combat combo of over 80. Stun crowds with Batarangs and spam basic attacks.
Computer Wiz	Distract 10 enemies using Quick Hacks. This requires Batgirl and her Hackarang.
Controlled Blast	Use the Focus Blast upgrade to attack 3 enemies with a single explosion.
Counter Measures	Perform 20 counters without taking damage. Just stand still and wait for the prompts.
Demolisher	Smash more than 60 objects within a minute. Spawn the Batmobile and drive on the sidewalks.
Dodgeball	Foam Spray an enemy into a ball and use them to attack others. This requires Jim Gordon.
Everyone's a Critic	Perform 5 Critical Hits without using any non-critical attacks in between.
Fall Damage	Use the Batclaw to throw enemies off raised ledges 15 times.
Focused Fighter	Perform 5 Focus Takedowns during a single combo streak.
Hair Trigger	Use the Electric Birdarang on a Rapid Fire Enemy to make them fire wildly. Nightwing is required here.
Hazard	Defeat 50 enemies using environmental objects like explosive canisters.
High Voltage	Use the effects of the Focus Shockwave upgrade to damage other nearby enemies.
In Blackest Night	Complete any mission from start to finish in Dark Knight Mode.
Ledgendary	Knock 15 enemies off high ledges using standard attacks.
Living Dangerously	Defeat 10 enemies while sitting at exactly one health heart. Let them hit you first.
Multi-Man	Collect a Blue or Purple Stud while at max stud multiplier.
Multitasker	Strike 3 enemies with a single Birdarang while standing on a cable line. This requires Robin.
Ninja	Perform 15 stealth takedowns in a row without being spotted.
Paranormal Investigator	Take a photograph of the Gentleman Ghost in East End Amusement Mile.
Pied Piper	Use blowdarts to stun 7 enemies at the exact same time. This requires Talia.
Recycler	Use the Batclaw to grab an enemy and throw them directly into a dumpster.
Shield Surfer	Dodge directly over Shield Enemies 20 times.
Speedy Safecracker	Crack a safe in under 10 seconds. You can practice on the one inside the Batcave.
Teleporter	Use the Stun Smoke upgrade on 3 enemies during a single teleport. This requires Talia.
The Floor is Lava	Glide for 60 seconds without touching the ground. Use wind tunnels to stay airborne.
The High Life	Stand on top of the tallest building in Gotham City. The Wayne Tower W logo is your target.
Theatrical	Visit the Monarch Theatre in the Gray Ghost costume.
Tough Guy	Defeat 100 enemies in Dark Knight Mode.
Treasure Hunter	Get all collectible items in any single story mission.
Turbo	Boost in a vehicle for 30 seconds without stopping or crashing. Use the long connecting bridges.
Untouchable	Defeat 30 enemies without losing any health.
Utility Belt	Use the Focus Ability upgrade of every single gadget.
Whiplash	Whip an enemy so they spin into others 30 times. This requires Catwoman.
