Taking a break from the usual combat grinds to solve a detective mystery is a fun change of pace in Season 9.

The Death of Apocalypse event drops you into a full murder mystery. Apocalypse has been taken down, and the collateral damage includes Wolverine, Psylocke, and Gambit. The event focuses on clearing these individual crime scenes, starting with Logan. It is a neat little narrative puzzle, but the interface can get slightly annoying because submitting a single incorrect word forces you to recheck everything without telling you where you made the mistake. You can skip that trial and error phase entirely by using the direct solution.

How to Gather the Keywords

To begin the case, navigate over to the Events tab in the main menu and open up the Death of Apocalypse screen. From there, select the Death of Wolverine mystery to open up the main event workspace.

The Investigate tab contains a gallery illustration covered in small sparkle icons. Clicking on every single sparkle triggers short dialogue sequences between different heroes. Reading through these conversations is how your game officially logs the keywords needed for the next step.
