Marvel Tōkon Leak Points to Rocket Raccoon as a DLC Character, Plus Classic Costumes for Four Heroes

A new leak suggests Rocket Raccoon is heading to Marvel Tōkon as a DLC character, and he won't be arriving alone.

What the Leak Actually Shows

Datamined files reportedly tie Rocket Raccoon to a future DLC slot, and I'll admit the file notes flatly labeling him that way got a laugh out of me, that's not exactly subtle. The same leak points to Classic and Legacy costume options coming for Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Doctor Doom, and Hulk, though none of this is officially confirmed yet, so it's worth treating as a strong lead rather than a done deal until Arc System Works actually announces it.

The Battle Pass Might Not Punish You for Missing It

The leak also includes some early detail on how the Battle Pass is built, and the standout part is that it reportedly won't expire, so progress carries forward instead of resetting on a timer. I've always liked a battle pass that doesn't punish you for logging off for a while, so this detail actually has me a little excited. A lot of the usual pushback around battle passes really just comes down to that countdown pressure, and plenty of live games have started moving away from it lately, non-expiring passes have become something of a trend, and it tends to land a lot better with people who'd rather unlock things at their own pace than feel like they're behind.

Where the PC Version Stands Now

Worth a quick check-in here too. A batch of fixes rolled out for the PC version about a week ago, and whether that's enough to smooth things out depends a fair bit on your own setup. Linux is still locked out entirely though so if you were hoping to at least get offline play working there, that's still not an option right now.

None of the character or costume leaks are locked in until Arc System Works actually confirms them, so cautious optimism is probably the right amount of excitement for now.
