Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Trophy Guide: How to Earn the Platinum

Earning a 100% completion rate in a compilation of massive RPGs is a serious time commitment. Let's minimize the grind.

Capcom finally brought the Star Force trilogy forward, and thankfully, they did not split the trophy list across the seven different game versions included in the bundle. You only have to deal with a single, unified list of 41 trophies. However, earning the "Legendary Shooting Star" Platinum still requires you to fully complete all three mainline games, conquer their brutal post-game content, and grind out an absurd number of battle cards.

If you are trying to optimize your playtime, I highly recommend checking out my Life is Strange: Reunion trophy guide to see how missable interactions are usually structured. Thankfully, Star Force is less about missing a single conversation and more about enduring a massive mechanical grind.

The Mandatory Story Trophies

You do not need to worry about these. As long as you keep pushing the narrative forward and actually beat one version of each game, these will pop automatically.

  • Blast Off 1: Defeat Taurus Fire in Star Force 1.

  • Among the Stars 1: Complete the main story of Star Force 1.

  • Blast Off 2: Defeat Dark Phantom in the movie theater in Star Force 2.

  • Among the Stars 2: Complete the main story of Star Force 2.

  • Blast Off 3: Defeat Spade Magnes in Star Force 3.

  • Among the Stars 3: Complete the main story of Star Force 3.

The Post-Game Bosses

Once the credits roll, the real game begins. You have to reload your clear save data for all three games to access the post-game content, which features enhanced bosses and new story arcs.

  • Surpassing the Sages: Complete the post-game story in Star Force 1 by defeating the new final boss.

  • Escaping a Tragic Fate: Complete the post-game story in Star Force 2.

  • Shining Through the Dark: Complete the post-game story in Star Force 3.

The Ultimate Card Collection Grind

This is where you will spend the majority of your time. You have to collect hundreds of battle cards across all three games.

THE CARD COLLECTOR REQUIREMENTS

The exact numbers you need to hit for the three massive collection trophies.

Trophy Name Requirement & Strategy
Standard Collector Collect all 150 Standard cards in a single game. You only have to do this in one of the three titles, not all of them.
Mega Collector Collect all Mega cards. SF1 has 36, SF2 has 42, and SF3 has 45. You can use online trading to acquire version-exclusive cards instead of playing the game three times.
Giga Collector Collect all Giga cards. There are 5 per game, meaning you need to track down 40 unique Giga cards. Trading heavily speeds this up.

Star Force 1 Specific Trophies

There is only one highly specific secret to track down in the first game.

  • Independent Warrior: Obtain the Lonely Heart. This is a secret item hidden in the Space Station within the Living Module EM-Road. Look for an invisible path on the southeastern side of the area that leads to a pulse point.

Star Force 2 Specific Trophies

The sequel asks you to engage heavily with its combo system and environmental secrets.

  • Wallpaper Collector: Obtain all 9 wallpapers. You start with the NormalWP. Get the rest by interacting with the computers in Zack's, Bud's, and Luna's rooms; completing Amy and Sonia's quests; buying two from merchants in the Shopping Plaza and Mega Display ES; and finding Mr. Hertz in Alternate Wilshire Hills ER.

  • Legendary Weapon: Obtain the BN Blaster. Activate the Battle Network content setting from the Collection's main menu, go to Luna's House, read the special email, and follow the instructions.

  • Best Combo Creator: Register 3 Best Combos. Deal massive damage to special bosses in a single turn. Legendary Master Shin will then prompt you to register the combo.

  • Legend Card Creator: Purchase a Legend Card from Legendary Master Shin in the Shopping Plaza after registering a combo.

Star Force 3 Specific Trophies

The third game leans heavily into the new Noise mechanics and illegal card drops.

STAR FORCE 3 NOISE & ILLEGAL CARDS

How to grind out the most tedious trophies in the third game.

Trophy Name Requirement & Strategy
Card Connoisseur Collect 30 Illegal cards. These replace Standard drops. You must have a Noise Control Program equipped and finish battles with 100% Noise or higher.
Noise Collector Obtain 30 Noise Fragments. Farm these by defeating G-Viruses, buying them in Echo Ridge, or earning S Ranks against bosses.
Play Your Cards Right Obtain a Noise Hand bonus. Add multiple Noise Cards to your Noise Band with the same value but different suits.
VIP Access Access the Secret Server Satellite by sacrificing a Brother Slot while maintaining a Noise Level of 500% or higher.
  • Omega Treasure: Defeat an omega (Ω) boss. These are enhanced versions of regular bosses that randomly appear in random encounters after you beat their base version.

  • Stars Aligned: Form a Galaxy Advance. Select three specific sequential cards in battle to merge them into a unique card.

  • Suit Victory: Defeat Acid Ace BB and Dread Joker RR. You must complete 20 online battles to make these unique bosses spawn randomly.

  • Lucky Star: After beating the game, interact with the SP Trader at WAZA and insert 10 chips to trigger Star Chance Mode.

Cross-Game Combat Trophies

These trophies can be earned across any of the three games by executing specific combat maneuvers or exploring the overworld.

  • Powered Up: Use a Bonus Card, which is earned by perfectly timing a Counter attack.

  • Secret Attack: (SF2/SF3 Only). Use a hidden input command during a card animation. For example, press A when Acid Ace hits to add an extra strike.

  • Quick Reflexes: Perform 5 Counters in a single battle. Wait for strong enemies or bosses to attack and hit them immediately before their animation connects.

  • Rare Data: Find a gold mystery wave in the Wave World. This is entirely RNG based.

  • No Hurt for Hertz: (SF2/SF3 Only). Rescue 30 Mr. Hertzes randomly found during battles.

  • High-Capacity: Collect 50 HP Memories by buying them or finding them in the world.

  • Wave of Destruction: Destroy 30 obstacles in battle.

  • Star Supporter: Resolve 30 side quest requests from NPCs.

  • Friendly Firepower: Collect 20 Mega Weapons to equip in your pause menu.

  • Close Encounter: Defeat an enemy specifically positioned on the second row of the grid.

  • All You've Got: Select all 6 cards on the Custom Screen at once. You need incredible luck to draw four grey cards alongside two standard ones.

  • Stuffed Snowball: (SF2/SF3 Only). Use the Snow Ball card on a stage to roll up two obstacles at once.

  • Stage Sweeper: Use a card to turn 15 grid panels into an attack hazard simultaneously.
