007 First Light Guide: How to Get the Laundry Room Code

Getting stalled by a simple keypad while you are hot on the heels of a suspect is not exactly a glamorous spy moment.

During the "All the Time in the World" mission, you are undercover as a chauffeur in a fancy Slovakian hotel. Your main objective is to tail a highly suspicious blond guy dressed as a bellhop. You follow him all the way down to the hotel laundry area, only to have a locked door slammed in your face. If you interact with the door, a conveniently placed note tells you the code changes daily and management keeps the current combination in their office.

Tracking Down the Office

Turn around and head all the way back to the main hotel reception area. You will spot an angry guest aggressively complaining to the staff about a stolen suitcase. Walk past that drama and slip into the staff hallway located directly behind the reception desk.

From here, you have two different ways to reach the office. You can sneak through a room currently occupied by two chambermaids (Nothing screams elite espionage like sneaking past someone folding towels) or take the right hand path toward a security guard leaning against a table.

Dealing with Hotel Security

Before you try to sprint past the guard and get yourself shot, you need to handle him quietly. You have a couple of options here depending on how resourceful you want to be.

Tactic	Outcome
Direct Dart Attack	Shoot the guard directly with your Dart Phone. He gets dizzy, allowing you to easily pickpocket the office key.
The Clock Distraction	Shoot the large antique clock behind him with a dart. He walks over to investigate the noise, saving you a tranquilizer round.
Kicking the Door	Do not do this. If you skip the key and try to boot the door open, the noise instantly snaps the guard out of his daze.

I highly recommend shooting the grandfather clock. It keeps your dart inventory stocked for bigger threats later in the mission. Once he turns his back to check on the noise, you can slip right past him.

Grabbing the Code

Once you are actually inside the office, immediately shut the door behind you so nobody patrolling the hallway spots you.

Walk over to the main desk and pick up the piece of paper resting on top. The laundry room code is 1805. Memorize it, open the door, and sneak back out exactly the way you came in.

While you are standing in this room, you should probably crack the manager's safe to grab the Cellar Key. It is tucked right under the desk and takes about ten seconds to open if you know the combination.

Once your pockets are full, head back down to the laundry area, punch 1805 into the keypad, and get back to hunting your target.
