007 First Light Guide: Infiltrating The Webb Gala

Getting into an exclusive billionaire party is tough when you didn't RSVP, but a good spy never lets a little velvet rope ruin the night.

I've spent enough time tracking down villains and assassins to know the front door is usually locked tight. In the 'Uninvited' chapter of 007 First Light, you need to slip past security at the Webb Industries Gala to continue your investigation. Three guards are blocking the main hall, demanding a formal Gala Invitation. Before you waste ten minutes walking in circles trying to find a VIP list, you should know you have two clear options. You can play it quiet and steal an invitation from a guest, or you can go full rogue and complete the Gate Crasher challenge. I'll walk you through both methods.

Securing A Pass The Old Fashioned Way

If you want to keep things simple and just grab a physical ticket, you'll need to rely on your tech. Head over to the central registration desk in the entrance lobby. There are plenty of wealthy guests mingling around this area. Activate your Q-Lens by pressing L1 or LB. This highlights any guest carrying a Gala Invitation with a bright golden glow. You'll spot several people near the registration desk holding these yellow event passes, so just pick whichever target is most isolated.

You can't just tackle them, so equip either your Dart Phone or your Laser Strap. I prefer the Dart Phone for this. Hit your chosen mark with it. This gadget fires a stealthy dart that triggers instant nausea in the target. They'll quickly step aside to deal with their sudden sickness, giving you the perfect window to move in close. Pickpocket the invitation while they're distracted. Once it's in your inventory, simply walk up to the three guards at the main corridor, flash your stolen pass, and waltz right into the main hall.

Before you leave the lobby area, take a quick detour. Look for a bench sitting to the right of the guards right next to three NPCs having a chat. You'll find the 8 of Acorns playing card resting on the bench. Grab it before you head inside, especially if you're trying to hunt down every collectible in the game.

Bypassing Security For The Gate Crasher Challenge

Sometimes I don't want to bother with picking pockets. If you'd rather skip the invitation entirely and knock out a challenge at the same time, you'll want to attempt the Gate Crasher route. You'll need both the Laser Strap and the Phone Dart equipped for this to work.

Start at the reception desk. You'll spot some green bottles of chemicals sitting on the counter. You absolutely need these to refill your Phone Dart during the sequence, so keep them close. Activate your Q-Lens and look at the three guards blocking the door. You have to handle them in a very specific order.

First, shoot the first guard with the Phone Dart to force him to walk away. Immediately turn back to the reception desk and grab those chemicals to refill your gadget. Next, shoot the second guard with your newly refilled Phone Dart so he disperses. Finally, hit the third guard with the Laser Strap to stun him. While he's disoriented, just walk right through the door.

Once you zap that third guard and slip through the entrance, the Gate Crasher challenge will pop. You're now inside the Webb Industries Gala and ready to get back on the trail of your target.
