007 First Light Guide: The Ultimate Collectibles Hub
Getting your platinum trophy means scouring the globe for 92 different hidden items, but you do not have to do it blindly.
If you are a completionist, you already know the main campaign is just a fraction of your actual playtime. Depending on how you pace yourself through 007 First Light, sweeping the maps for every single hidden item will significantly pad your weekend. You need to track down playing cards, intel dossiers, legacy items, mementos, and postcards scattered across highly restricted enemy territory. I compiled everything you need to know about the collectible hunt right here so you can knock it out efficiently.
How Collectible Saving Works
Before you force yourself to finish a gruelling hour-long stealth mission just to secure a single playing card, you should understand how the game handles save states.
The system is actually incredibly forgiving. All you need to do is pick up the collectible and immediately quit out to the main menu. The game automatically saves your collectible progress the second you grab the item. You can also mop up anything you missed after finishing the story by using the checkpoint select feature.
There is one annoying bug you should watch out for. Sometimes you will grab the final item in a set and the corresponding trophy absolutely refuses to pop. If this happens to you, don’t panic. Just load into the TacSim hub and look directly at your collection on the wall. Staring at the completed display forces the game to recognize your progress and usually triggers the delayed achievement.
The Collectibles Breakdown
If you are trying to prioritize which sets to hunt down first, here is a quick look at the raw numbers and the trophies attached to them.
Playing Cards
This is by far the most massive group of hidden items in the game. You are looking for 36 individual playing cards, and hunting them down will consume the vast majority of your time. Finding them all nets you the Casino Royale trophy. Check out my 007 First Light all playing cards guide so you do not have to flip every single room upside down looking for them.
Intel
Intel serves as the second largest collectible category with 23 pieces to grab. These items actually flesh out the lore, giving you detailed dossiers on major players like M and other critical figures inside MI6. Completing this set unlocks the For Your Eyes Only achievement. To grab them all without blowing your cover, head over to my 007 First Light all intel locations TacSim guide.
Mementos
There are 14 Mementos to find. These are fairly straightforward to mop up using the chapter select screen once the credits roll. Securing the whole batch unlocks the Recovered Assets trophy for your collection. I mapped out the fastest routes in my 007 First Light all mementos guide.
Postcards
You only need to locate 10 Postcards throughout your playthrough. Snagging all of them pops The World Is Not Enough trophy. It is a quick checklist, but they are easy to walk right past if you are distracted by heavily armed guards. Find them all cleanly using my 007 First Light all postcard locations guide.
Legacy Items
Legacy Items are my personal favorite because they serve as direct nods to classic moments in James Bond history, even if those events have technically not happened yet in this origin story timeline. There are only 9 of these scattered around, and securing them rewards you with the A Legacy Of Spycraft trophy. To find these historical easter eggs, check out my 007 First Light all legacy items guide.
