Retro Rewind Achievement Guide: 100% Completion on Minimum Wage
Getting every achievement in a 90s retail simulator requires the exact same dead eyed persistence I used working actual cash registers.
Video store management is not a glamorous job. You spend your days organizing plastic boxes, arguing with people about late fees, and staring at neon lights until your retinas burn. Retro Rewind captures that mundane magic perfectly, and for those of us who need a digital pat on the back, the game offers 18 achievements to hunt down.
The developers actually did something smart here. Unlocking an achievement is not just a meaningless pop up on your screen. Every single trophy you earn in this game directly injects 100 dollars and 50 XP into your current save file. In the brutal early hours of your business, when you are barely scraping by with 100 to 200 dollar profit days, those achievement bonuses are literal lifesavers. They can fund your next shelf or pay your employee wages when you are completely broke.
I have seen plenty of generic lists with only the titles floating around the internet, but I refuse to just dump a copy pasted spreadsheet in your lap. I have categorized the entire achievement list based on exactly how and when you should be tackling them. If you are still trying to figure out how to stop your employees from ruining your shelves before you start achievement hunting, you need to read my Retro Rewind Video Store Simulator Beginner Guide first.
The Developer Cheat Room Warning
Before you start grinding for a 100% completion rate, I need to issue a massive warning about your save file.
Once you hit store level 20, the game opens up a secret developer room. If you walk out the back door and head down the alley near the strange tape dealer at night, you will find an open doorway. Inside, you can access a cheat menu that lets you add infinite cash or mess with the character models.
Do not touch it if you care about your trophies. Activating any of these cheats will permanently lock your current save file out of earning any future achievements. If you want to mess around with free money, do it after you have already secured the full 100% completion.
