Crimson Desert Faction Quests Guide: Every Side Mission, Location, and Reward
Pywel does not care about your grand destiny, but it will absolutely pay you to solve its local disputes.
When I first started taking odd jobs around Hernand, I assumed I could just ignore the local politics and focus on surviving. I was wrong. If you want to expand your pockets, upgrade your gear, and actually keep your camp fed, you need to grind Faction Quests. These missions are the backbone of your contribution and reputation rewards.
Navigating the fast travel map can be a nightmare when it is covered in question marks. Some of these requests are brutal combat encounters, while others are tedious fetch quests for lazy nobles. I have cataloged every single faction task you can pick up in the game. Pace yourself, track your targets, and start collecting your silver.
Rebuilding the Greymanes
After the messy events of the prologue, your top priority is getting your crew back together. The Greymane Faction Quests dictate the growth of your base at Howling Hill. You will be doing everything from rescuing refugees to managing petty squabbles. Doing these tasks is vital if you want to increase your inventory space and keep your squad functional.
Greymane Commissions
Once you have warm bodies in your camp, they will start bothering you for favors. I highly recommend running these as soon as they pop up to maintain high Trust levels. Happy mercenaries fight harder.
Hernand's Noble Houses and Bounties
The elite of Hernand are perfectly fine letting mercenaries bleed to solve their problems. House Celeste is obsessed with tracking down outlaws, while House Roberts has a massive bandit infestation. If you want to make money fast, capturing bounties alive is highly lucrative.
Working Class of Hernand (Commissions & Requests)
When you are tired of noble vanity projects, hit the Notice Boards. The working class of Hernand pays out in Standard Inventory Expansion Tools, which you absolutely need. If you do not want to be over encumbered every ten minutes, do these chores.
Witches, Antumbra, and the Wilds
When you wander far enough out of the city limits, you run into the weird stuff. The Witches will drag you into chaotic combat scenarios to cleanse sanctums, and the Antumbra Order drops some of the best loot for late-game weapon and armor upgrades. Meanwhile, the Shai of the Pororin Forest are mostly just obsessed with magical plants.
The sheer amount of running around Pywel demands can break you if you tackle it all at once. My advice is to clear these out naturally as you hit new regions. Do not burn yourself out staring at quest logs.
SOME PARTS OF THIS GUIDE ARE STILL WIP. They’ll be edited as I progress further into the game.
