007 First Light Guide: How to Complete All 23 Knightfall Challenges
Grabbing the white tux in Knightfall requires a ridiculous mix of flawless stealth and violently shoving guys through glass windows.
Knightfall is an absolute monster of a mission. If you want to unlock that white tux for your TacSim runs, you need to master everything from completely silent takedowns to tossing security guards off balconies. Because several of these objectives require totally opposite playstyles, you will absolutely need to run this mission a few times to grab them all. If you want to know exactly how much time you are signing up for, check out my 007 First Light How Long to Beat Chapter List to help plan your gaming schedule. Honestly, considering the staggering 007 First Light Development Cost Budget, it makes sense that they packed so many overlapping systems into a single level.
The Full Knightfall Challenge List
Before you start worrying about specific routes, here is the complete breakdown of every challenge the game expects you to clear. I separated the meta challenges and the individual tasks so you know exactly what is on the menu.
The Executive Meeting Room
The second floor executive area forces you to choose between completely ghosting the room or meticulously knocking everyone out.
Discretion Advised and Hand of God
Before you waste your time restarting this checkpoint, know that getting spotted as soon as you climb into this area is completely unavoidable. It is a scripted event. Do not panic and do not immediately restart. To secure Discretion Advised, you just need to bluff the guard right away, slowly walk out of the room, and then navigate the rest of the area using vents and your Laser Strap without knocking anyone out.
If you want Hand of God on your next run, handle that first guard the exact same way. Bluff him, let his alert state drop entirely, and then sneak up for a silent takedown. From there, use your gadgets to stun the remaining guards before choking them out so nobody spots you mid animation.
If you are just doing an assault run, ignore all of this. Sprint into the room and use your charge button to violently shove four security guards right through the glass windows to grab the Makeover challenge.
Data Center Dilemmas
The data center is arguably the most frustrating stealth puzzle in the game, mainly because one of the challenges is highly temperamental.
IT Specialist and Service Update
For IT Specialist, you have to hack three separate servers and get back to Greenway without a single body being discovered. You have to rely heavily on your Laser Strap to manipulate patrol routes.
Before you rip your hair out trying to get exactly eight kills for Service Update, know that this challenge is heavily bugged for a lot of people in the current build. You are supposed to take down exactly eight guards, hack the servers, and return unseen. If you do this perfectly and the challenge still fails to pop, do not blame your stealth skills. Move on and wait for a patch.
Alternatively, you can just clear Server Crash by dropping the stealth act entirely and fighting ten guards in open combat. To even get into the data center properly for the Underdressed challenge, make sure you recall the robot vacuum cleaner to the wall and steal the disguise from the maintenance room.
Safes and Side Distractions
Knightfall has a few highly specific interaction challenges that you can easily walk right past if you are rushing the main objective.
Crackerjack and Epic Fail
When you reach Webb's office, do not touch the safe until you know exactly what you want to do. If you want Epic Fail, punch in any random incorrect code seven times in a row. Once you have that out of the way, you can grab Crackerjack by inputting the actual code on your first try: 1493E. If you want a deeper dive on the man whose safe you are robbing, I highly recommend reading my 007 First Light Villains Explained breakdown to understand exactly what Webb is up to.
Blackball and Tactical Pause
Do not forget to talk to Greenway after the upstairs fight. Exhaust all three optional dialogue choices to trigger Tactical Pause. Later, when you are at the bar, vault the railing and hack the door on your left. Have Greenway open it for you, then interact with the pool cues on the wall. James Bond challenging an ally to a game of pool during a high stakes infiltration is exactly the kind of ridiculous spy energy I am here for.
The Final Escape
The last stretch of the mission turns into a loud, messy shootout where you can finally use your lethal gadgets. Also check out: 007 First Light All Collectibles Hub to make sure you grab the hidden items scattered around this final combat zone.
Closing Time and Blast of Air
In the area right before the flight deck, aim your Q-Lens at the ceiling. You will spot metallic window shutters that you can hack closed to secure Closing Time. While you are doing that, pay attention to the massive industrial fans on the walls. Wait until enemies run near the railings, then overcharge the fans to blow four guards directly off the edge for the Blast of Air challenge.
Weapons and Fists
Make sure you swap your weapons constantly during the escape. Pick up rifles from dead guards or grab the pistols leaning on desks. As long as you fire four different guns, you get the Gun Nut challenge. Use your Missile Pen to blow up three highlighted structural elements (like bridges or weak walls) for Mightier Than the Sword.
Finally, when you drop into the cargo check room, you are forced into a fistfight with two guards. Use your Laser Strap to stun them instantly, then hit them with a finisher. If you drop them both without taking a hit, you secure Moving Target and wrap up the mission.
