Meccha Chameleon Guide: How to Earn Eeyans

The match is over and the seeker is slowly walking through the room to see just how badly you fooled them.

A festive, high-ceiling ballroom in the game Meccha Chameleon, decorated with colorful party balloons, streamers, and large crystal chandeliers above a grand piano and dining tables.

This is the Answer Check phase. It is the moment of truth where you get to see exactly where everyone was hiding. While it is obviously satisfying to watch a frustrated seeker run right past your perfect hiding spot, you can actually interact with other players here. You can give them an Eeyan.

The term Eeyan comes from Japanese and translates to "that is great." In the game, these act as permanent likes that stay attached to a player's profile across different lobbies and sessions. You will see them displayed next to a thumbs up symbol above a player's name. It is essentially a way to show respect for a clever paint job or a particularly hilarious spot.

How to Give an Eeyan

During the Answer Check period, you can walk around the map and inspect the final locations of every hider. The game makes this easy by flashing the most recent placement of every hider through walls so you do not have to hunt for them again.

When you walk up to a player you want to commend, just press the G key. It gives them a thumbs up and awards them one Eeyan. You can only hand out one of these per match, so do not just click the first person you see. Save it for the person who actually made you laugh or genuinely impressed you with their skills.

How to Get More Eeyans

You probably want to stack up your own score. There is a catch though. You can only ever receive an Eeyan on your most recent hiding spot.

This means your clones are completely off-limits. If you are using my Meccha Chameleon clones guide to bait seekers, keep in mind that those decoys are not eligible for any commendations. The system only tracks your main character.

What Makes a Good Spot

If you are struggling to get any likes, you are likely playing it too safe. Hiding in a tiny, dark corner might help you survive, but it is rarely memorable. Most people would rather hand out an Eeyan to someone who hid in plain sight or created something genuinely funny.

Before you worry about your popularity score, make sure you know the basics from my Meccha Chameleon beginner's guide so you actually have the time to set up a good spot. It is just as satisfying to see where the people who actually read my Meccha Chameleon seeker masterclass were hiding and give them a like for finding me, even if I have to admit defeat.

Focus on cleverness and humor. If you can force a seeker to stare at you for ten seconds without realizing you are a person, you are almost guaranteed to pick up a few Eeyans when the match ends.
